Progress report on the catalyst layers for hydrocarbon-fueled SOFCs

Solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) is an energy conversion device that can directly convert the chemical of carbonaceous fuels into electricity. Solving problem carbon deposition in conventional nickel-based anode essential to improving performance SOFC when operating on fuels. Although impressive progress has been made development alternative materials, anodes with superior catalytic activity for are still most promising commercialization SOFCs. The a catalyst layer high over demonstrated as effective way enhance and long-term stability hydrocarbon-based SOFC. This review introduces working principles layers, discusses recent materials hydrocarbon-fueled issues different materials. Finally, some future prospects challenges layers summarized this article.
